Glass act is a new article in Landscape Architecture Magazine by editor Brad McKee that explores the latest Cao Perrot Studio installation in Washington D.C., Cloud Terrace.
The artists, Andy Cao & Xavier Perrot, along with their incomparable team have transformed a heap of mesh wire into a moving, breathing reflection of the garden itself. Mass amounts of mesh form a weightless cloud laced with 10,000 Swarovski crystals that hang above a dark pool surrounded by glass pebbles. Our imagination is at play to consider what kind of movement is created by the crystals, the sunlight, the wind, and the ripples from the pond below. We hope to go to Washington D.C. to see it in person before it ends in October.
A big thank you to Steve who brought this project to our attention!
